SIDC Mobilizes PHP 50 M of investments from OFWs and Families

Soro-soro Ibaba Development Cooperative (SIDC), the largest agriculture-based cooperative in the Philippines, mobilizes migrant resources towards agriculture development. It is the partner organization of the Committee on Migration and Development of Region IV-A.

SIDC is the pioneer cooperative in the country which packaged investments and business opportunities for migrants and families in agriculture. It has so far generated around PHP 50 million of investments from about 350 Overseas Filipinos and family members. The cooperative offered its Egg Layer Farm and SIDC Springs Eco-Agro Tourism Project for investment of OFWs.

Hundreds of migration and development stakeholders have visited SIDC and its projects to learn from its experiences in mobilizing migrant resources for development.
